Monday September 15 1986 the night 1,500 supporters packed into the Astoria with hundreds locked outside.

The club had struggling for a long time and it was only the Chairman Jack Dunnett that kept Notts County going.

At the time of the meeting the debt had reached £1.8 million which 17 years ago was a lot of money. With the problems facing the club since administration membership of Lifeline has dropped and is now around the 2000 mark.
